Physiotherapy in Chania, Crete

Movement comes back when there is a plan.

For people who have been in pain for a while, have tried things, and are no longer sure what is safe. We start with a thorough assessment and move forward with an individual plan of therapeutic exercise, guidance and reassessment — until you no longer need us.

Your route, in four stages

Where are you now?

Pick the one that sounds most like you.

You don't need to know which treatment you need. You only need to recognise your situation. We'll show you where the route starts.

We recognise this

Relief wasn't the problem. Capacity was.

When the body returns to the same demands without having built more tolerance to load, the pain often returns. The assessment identifies what limits you, and the plan builds the capacity that's missing.

  • STARTInitial clinical and functional assessment, 45 minutes.
  • NEXTA short treatment cycle with individual exercises and a home programme.
  • GOALTolerance for the loads of your everyday life, without depending on treatment.

Why so many people stay stuck

Relief is the beginning.
Independence is the goal.

Symptom-relieving techniques can help when indicated. But when the demands of daily life stay greater than what your tissues can tolerate, pain has a reason to return. Recovery with direction builds capacity, so your body can handle more than you ask of it.

  • The body adapts to loadWith the right dose and gradual increase, strength, control and tolerance improve.
  • Progress must be measuredWe reassess after every cycle, so the next step is decided on evidence.
  • Techniques are tools, not the destinationThey're used selectively to get you into active rehabilitation sooner.
Load vs. capacity
Demands of daily life Your body's capacity
Pain returns when demands exceed capacity Today Treatment cycles Independence Progressive loading
A simplified picture: once your body's capacity exceeds the demands placed on it, movement becomes safe again. It does not replace an individual assessment.

The Dynamis route

Every stage has a goal. Every step, direction.

We work in short treatment cycles. After each cycle we reassess and decide the next step together. You always know where you are, and why.

  1. 01 Starting point

    Initial clinical & functional assessment

The most important session. We listen to your history, examine movement and function, and explain what the findings mean in language you understand. You leave with a clear plan.

    45 minutes Decides the route

    What it includes

    • Detailed history and goals that matter to you
    • Clinical and functional examination
    • Plain-language explanation of the problem
    • A written rehabilitation plan with first steps

Two possible routes: start therapeutic exercise straight away, or a short phase of targeted techniques to manage symptoms before exercise.

  2. 02 Treatment cycle

    Less pain, basic movement restored

The first short cycle. The aim is to reduce discomfort, regain basic movements and begin the first controlled loading, alongside education on what you can do yourself.

3 sessions × 45′ Reassessment at the end

    What it includes

    • Individual therapeutic exercises with guidance on execution
    • A home programme through the exercise app
    • Selected supporting techniques where indicated
    • Reassessment and a decision on the next step

Goal: less pain, more confidence in movement, understanding of what helps.

  3. 03 Progressive loading

Strength, tolerance to load, return to function

This is where resilience is built. Load increases gradually, based on your response and the demands of your work, exercise or sport. Every next level has clear criteria.

    4 sessions × 45′ Graded loading

    What it includes

    • Structured load increase, adapted to symptoms and capacity
    • Movement re-education for the demands of your own daily life
    • Continuous programme updates in the app
    • Reassessment and planning your return

Goal: a body that tolerates more than your life asks of it.

  4. 04 Independence

Back with confidence — and, if you wish, continuity

The destination is not needing us. You return to your activities with a plan you can continue on your own. Those who want to can continue in a small therapeutic-exercise group of up to four, with an individual programme.

Up to 4 people 45′ per session

    Dynamis therapeutic exercise

    • For those who have completed rehabilitation and want to maintain or improve
    • An individual exercise programme within a small group
    • Programme progressed continuously by the physiotherapist
    • 8 or 12 sessions per month

Goal: moving with more freedom and less dependence on treatment.

Every session is part of a plan with a clear goal, monitoring and reassessment. The number of cycles is not fixed: it depends on the problem, how long you've had it, your goals and your response. Costs for each stage are explained at the first visit and in the FAQ.

A plan you understand. Progress you can see. Movement you can trust.

How we can help

Not a menu of techniques. A route for your particular need.

The right direction is decided after the assessment and adjusted along the way. In every case the question is the same: where do you want to get back to?

Persistent or recurring pain

Individual musculoskeletal rehabilitation

For back, neck, shoulder, knee and other musculoskeletal problems that persist or keep returning and have limited your everyday life.

Goal: less pain and a safe, gradual return to function.

Goal: strength without pain and clear criteria for every next level.

After rehabilitation

Small-group therapeutic exercise

Up to four people, each with an individual programme progressed by the physiotherapist. For those who have completed the main phase and want to keep what they've gained.

Goal: consistency and performance, in a setting that isn't a gym.

Getting here

Frequently asked

Before you start.

If your question isn't here, ask us. We'd rather you know what to expect.

How many sessions will I need?

There's no fixed number. It depends on the problem, how long you've had it, your goals and your response. We work in short cycles and after each one we reassess and decide the next step together. Our aim is the quickest safe return to movement and your activities.

What does it cost?

The initial assessment (45′) is €40. The three-session treatment cycle is €120 and the four-session progressive-loading phase is €160. Small-group therapeutic exercise is €100 for 8 or €120 for 12 sessions per month. Each stage is explained before it starts and there's no obligation to continue.

Do you only use therapeutic exercise?

No. Therapeutic exercise is the core, but when indicated we may also use manual therapy, shockwave, blood-flow-restriction training, taping or TENS. Always in support of the active plan, never as an end in itself.

Do you offer massage?

No. Rehabilitation isn't based on general massage. When soft-tissue work is needed, we apply targeted techniques according to the needs of each case.

Can I keep training while in treatment?

In most cases, yes. Rather than complete rest, we adjust the load so you stay as active as possible without aggravating the problem.

I'm visiting Chania. Can you see me?

Yes. The initial assessment works well as a standalone session: you'll leave with an explanation of the problem and a written plan you can continue at home or share with your physiotherapist there.
